Shambhala Day - Marking the Lunar New Year

    10:00am Sunday, February 10th
    The Shambhala Community worldwide marks the beginning of the Lunar New Year with Shambhala Day. This year, our community will gather on Sunday, February 10th. Everyone, members and non-members are warmly welcomes to gather in celebration of the New Year.
    10:00am     Gather (coffee served)
    10:30am     Shambhala Sadhana practice (on this day, everyone is welcome to practice chant-based text on basic goodness. Normally this practice is restricted to those who have attended Enlightened Society Assembly).
    11:30am      Shambhala Day global broadcast, including a guided White Tara practice led by Acharya Christie Cashman, celebrations of Shambhala Culture and a fundraiser for Shambhala Global Services).
    12:30pm     Community Potluck Lunch & informal discussion
    1:45pm       Conclusion Shambhala Day 
    2:00pm       First in the Year Long teachings on Mahayana Buddhist practices (restricted to those who have completed Level III or the Joy in Everyday Life class). The first day of this program is free.
