How to Help

The Fredericton Shambhala Centre welcomes people from all walks of life to learn meditation and participate in a wide variety of programs, classes, and community events.  Our Fredericton Centre is a non-profit and volunteer-operated center.  We are entirely supported by the generosity and commitment of our members and friends.

      Membership means being part of a diverse community of people who practice meditation as a path to contentment, joy, bravery and kindness in everyday life.

      Locally and globally, Shambhala is a community dedicated to creating enlightened society here on this earth – a possibility that begins with resting our minds and opening our hearts to the fundamental goodness and worthiness of humanity.

    • Appreciation
      Becoming a member of the Centre is a way of expressing your personal appreciation for all the Shambhala path offers to you and helping to make it available for others.

      This includes manifesting a culture of kindness and offering volunteer and financial support, as your circumstances permit. All contributions that you make serve to keep our doors open and our programs flourishing and accessible.

    • Open to All
      Membership is open to everyone, regardless of nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, physical or perceptual ability, income, or political, social or religious views and beliefs.

 

How to Contribute to our Centre Financially

Your membership dues and donations will be added to any other donations you are making to Shambhala Canada, meaning they are tax deductible.  A charitable tax receipt will be sent to you in January or February for next year’s tax season.

 

How to Become a Member 

You can become a member and contribute dues through any of the following simple means:

  1.         Paypal
    After submit your information on our membership form, a Paypal payment page will be available.  Please note that regular monthly donations can be changed or cancelled at any time through the PayPal site, using your personal PayPal account.
  2.         Credit Card
    After submit your information on our membership form, you will be able to pay with your credit card.
  3.         Direct Payment (Recommended)
    After submit your information on our membership form, please contact our treasurer, Diane McKinnon, at [email protected].  Please note that you can increase or decrease your monthly donation at any time by contacting our treasurer.
